I would’ve given anything for a green letter today. Heck, I’d have been grateful just for a yellow or two. What I got instead was an endless supply of greys, every guess completely off the mark in a new and interesting way. I didn’t so much solve today’s game as run out of wrong letters to try.

Wordle today: A hint for Tuesday, June 11

You’d use this word to describe the act of swaying, or moving back and forth in some way. Think of a monkey moving through the trees, or even voters shifting from one party to another. Past tense.

Wordle help: 3 tips for beating Wordle every day

Looking to extend your Wordle winning streak? Perhaps you’ve just started playing the popular daily puzzle game and are looking for some pointers. Whatever the reason you’re here, these quick tips can help push you in the right direction:

  • Start with a word that has a mix of common vowels and consonants.
  • The answer might repeat the same letter.
  • Try not to use guesses that include letters you’ve already eliminated.

There’s no racing against the clock with Wordle so you don’t need to rush for the answer. Treating the game like a casual newspaper crossword can be a good tactic; that way, you can come back to it later if you’re coming up blank. Stepping away for a while might mean the difference between a win and a line of grey squares.

Learn more about Wordle

Wordle gives you six rows of five boxes each day, and it’s up to you to work out which five-letter word is hiding among them to win the popular daily puzzle.

It’s usually a good plan to start with a strong word like ALERT—or any other word with a good mix of common consonants and multiple vowels—and you should be off to a flying start, with a little luck anyway. You should also avoid starting words with repeating letters, so you don’t waste the chance to confirm or eliminate an extra letter. Once you hit Enter, you’ll see which letters you’ve got right or wrong. If a box turns ⬛️, it means that letter isn’t in the secret word at all. 🟨 means the letter is in the word, but not in that position. 🟩 means you’ve got the right letter in the right spot.

Your second guess should compliment the first, using another “good” word to cover any common letters you might have missed on the first row—just don’t forget to leave out any letter you now know for a fact isn’t present in today’s answer. After that, it’s just a case of using what you’ve learned to narrow your guesses down to the correct word. You have six tries in total and can only use real words and don’t forget letters can repeat too (eg: BOOKS).

Originally, Wordle was dreamed up by software engineer Josh Wardle, as a surprise for his partner who loves word games. From there it spread to his family, and finally got released to the public. The word puzzle game has since inspired tons of games like Wordle, refocusing the daily gimmick around music or math or geography. It wasn’t long before Wordle became so popular it was sold to the New York Times for seven figures. Surely it’s only a matter of time before we all solely communicate in tricolor boxes.

Astarion can literally get blood from a stone in Baldur’s Gate 3-

Baldur’s Gate 3 keeps giving me little surprises. In Act 3, you’re able to purchase a statue from Boney and Stoney from the Circus of The Last Days for your camp. Doing this will run you a costly 5,000 gold, but that’s a small price to pay for an immortalised tribute to your handsome hero, surely?

Astarion, your party’s very own vampire spawn, can also feed on you or your enemies. Doing so gives him the Happy buff, a +1 bonus to attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws. This will all become relevant in just a moment.

While this buff isn’t that hard to get, it’s a bit of a pain—either you let him use your character like a juicebox (which’ll hit you with the “Bloodless” debuff), or you have him gnaw on someone with his bite attack. The latter’s un…

Nvidia RTX 4060 Ti rumoured to cost $450 at launch in May-

The expected launch of the Nvidia RTX 4060 Ti has been penned in for May by the rumour mongers and, as we shuffle through April, we’re starting to hear noises about the pricing for the green team’s next most affordable graphics card. With a potential sticker price of $450 the RTX 4060 Ti would be only $50 more expensive than the last generation’s RTX 3060 Ti.

Just a bit more expensive, then, not a lot more expensive. I guess we’ve got to take the wins where we can find them, however meagre they seem.

The rumour has come from sources cultivated by the Red Gaming Tech channel, reportedly from the same source which provided an early $599 figure for the recently launched RTX 4070. And I’ve got to say it scans with what we know about the card.

Relic Entertainment is ‘returning to its roots as an independent creative studio,’ but it’s also owned by a global investment firm now-

Less than two months after being cut loose by Sega, which resulted in another round of layoffs at the studio, Company of Heroes developer Relic Entertainment says it is “returning to its roots as an independent creative studio” with support from investment firm Emona Capital LLP.

The past year has been rough on Relic. Company of Heroes 3 was met with a mixed reaction when it launched in February 2023, and then in May of that year the studio laid off 121 employees. In March 2024 the studio was sold off by Sega, and a month later a reported 41 more employees were let go in what sounded like a desperation move: Relic said the cuts were made “with the goal of providing Relic the best possible chance to survive in an increasingly volatile industry.”

The investment from Emona, “an…

Sega abruptly scraps extraction FPS Hyenas inches from the finish line-

Update: Following Hyenas’ cancellation, Creative Assembly has announced that its looking at making an unknown number of its staff redundant.

In a statement released to Twitter, the developer wrote: “We have made the incredibly difficult decision to begin a redundancy consultation process in some areas of our UK operations, alongside ending development of Hyenas. This may, unfortunately, result in job losses.

“We fully understand that this has a significant impact on our people whether they are directly affected or not—which we are truly sorry for.”

An attempt will be made to reallocate as many roles as possible, the studio says, in order to “minimise any job losses.” Creative Assembly called the game’s cancellation and potential redundancies “a d…

Start saving, because Intel’s 14th Gen CPUs are reportedly launching in just a few weeks-

Intel’s 14th Gen CPUs are quietly but quickly approaching their launch date. We know they’re refreshes, so we have a very good idea of what to expect. Still, there will be plenty of interest in Intel’s latest wares.

That launch is not quite imminent, but it’s close. According to Videocardz, the 14th Gen Raptor Lake Refresh range will kick off on October 17, with reviews to come a day earlier, on October 16.

Over the past few years, Intel has kicked things off with the launch of K models, and it looks like this launch will be no different. We can expect the i9 14900K, i7 14700K and i5 14600K and their iGPU-less KF counterparts to come first, with 65W non-K models to follow later. CES in early January would be a safe bet as it was with the 13th Gen models earlier this year.

The Assassin’s Creed game about ninjas in feudal Japan is called Assassin’s Creed Shadows, full reveal coming on Wednesday-

The Assassin’s Creed game we’ve known for the last year-and-a-half as Codename Red finally has a proper title, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and it’s going to be fully revealed in just a couple days, on May 15.

Codename Red was revealed in September 2022 alongside two other unnamed Assassin’s Creed games: Hexe, which has a very overt supernatural vibe but is otherwise entirely undefined, and Jade, a mobile game set in China in 215 BC.

Red, meanwhile, is set in feudal Japan, a shift in locale that had associate editor Ted Litchfield immediately excited, to the point that he was basically establishing a full headcanon based entirely on a 10-second teaser.

“Cast the shinobi clans of Iga province as some manner of Assassin Order franchisee, while the world famous warrior…
